Home Studio Color Selection
We just purchased a house and I have to make the decision of what color to paint my home studio/editing suite. I want to keep it pretty clean and modern (mac-esque if you will) and I do plan on having an area to meet with clients. Any suggestions on good wall colors or other general editing suite setup?
Thanks! |

I've been curious about this as well. I have a small alcove behind bi-fold doors where all my editing stuff is; currently it's white, but there are various "warmths" of white which could conceivably throw off your color perception. For that reason I've been considering painting the wall immediately behind and on either side of the monitors 18% gray.
Either that or flat black. |

I'd go w/18% gray on the walls, some color balanced lighting behind the monitors, and black-out all the windows.

I used a nice grey textured fabric over sound panels on the wall behind my monitors.
That way I have a nice neutral color, and it kills sound reflections as well. |
