Capturing HD 720/24p footage into FCP 5?

JVC HD GY100u,
Has anyone been succesful capturing HD 24p material into FCP 5?

I have been trying, but everytime it gives me a different problem. Well if you have done it, can you guys please let me know how you did it.

As right now, I have to use HDVxDV to capture the 24p material, then import the footage into FCP5, but I always have the Unsync Audio problem, it's a pain in the butt to sycn it,

Capturing 720p24 on FCP with JVC GY100u

I've had some problems as well. I had to purchase a program called Lumiere HD. I was using FC 4.5, on a friend's computer, which wouldn't capture 720p24 HD. I didn't find out until recently that FC 5 will capture 720p24, but it doesn't capture properly. I had LARGE chunks of footage missing. I tried lots of different tactics, but none availed. I thought the problem was not "striping" the tape, but I tested a striped tape and it didn't work. I had to deactivate Lumiere HD on my friend's computer and install it on mine. I'm not sure why the GY100 doesn't work with it, maybe the GY200 does. I don't know. You can go to www.lumierehd.com to find the program. Its about 200 dollars, but it works.

there's lots of threads on this topic, and it looks like everyone is having similar capture issues.
