HD-SDI to ComponentVideo/AnalogAudio (and vice versa)
I am in the process of constructing a video editing and audio recording suite. I am looking for some help in the final stages. I'd appreciate any advice that anyone can offer.
My setup: MacPro (running Final Cut Pro) with AJA Kona3 card (card has 2x HD-SDI inputs and 2 x HD-SDI outputs). AutoPatch 16x16 switcher that uses Component YPrPb video (connected with BNC) and balanced analog audio (connected with XLR) -- with multiple SD and HD (1080i) devices attached for importing/exporting video and audio I am looking for a way to complete this set up that allows me to use my 16x16 switcher with my MacPro via the Kona3 inputs (HD-SDI). Essentially I am wondering what my options are for connecting/converting HD-SDI video/audio to YPrPb video and balanced analog audio (and vice versa). Any advice or directions on this? or recommendations based on your own current HD editing setups? Thank you very much. Lonnie |

here's the AJA converters that we've been using successfully on NLE systems and routers:
