Canon HX-A1 24f Editing Problem
I just bought a Canon HX-A1 camera, and so far I'm very impressed with it, but I'm having a little trouble editing the 24f footage on Final Cut Pro. I use the Apple Intermidiate Codec 1080i60 to capture all of my footage, and afterwards, I set my seq. timeline up for 23.98fps. Once I drag a clip into the timeline, I get the dreaded "unlimited" line which slows the playback down to a crawl; very annoying. So, I just render the clip, and everything runs the way it should, but I'm wondering if there's any kind of pulldown method (sort of like 24p) that I can do for HDV 24f footage in Final Cut, so I can edit comfortably without having to render each and every clip in the timeline.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, guys. |

I capture 25f footage from my XHA1 footage using FCP's 1080P24 easy setup, and the same thing for the sequence. No rendering.
