which NLE for a 64bit PC?

I'm buying a new PC (based on the E6600 Core 2 Duo), and have been wondering whether I should go for Windows XP Pro x64 rather than the 32-bit version. Assuming there'd be now driver and other hardware-related problems, and that I'd install 4 GB RAM - do you think the overall system performance in NLE would benefit?

Do you know of any of the most popular NLE's for PC (Adobe, Canopus, Sony, Ulead, Avid) having already been optimized for 64bit computing? Or, any plans for the near future?

Thanks for your opinions.
