HDV capture for pc+ mac compatible
Hello I posted this a few days ago and have been weeping for two days wondering Why nobody from all you videoguys (gals) have not answered so all you smart knowledgeable people I wonder if anyone can help. I have collected 30 hours of HDV footage in Tibet and want to begin logging. It was shot on sony hdva1u. My edit system on PC is premiere pro I also capture using the DV raptor card. If I log footage on PC with this system. Will it be availabe to be read on MAC final cut pro. I will offline on PC myself and possibly have the edit done on MAC is this possible?????. Can I possibly capture on quicktime and bypass the raptor will this be readable on both systems
Thanks Help Chris Macneil |

It should be possible to capture raw M2T (HDV) files and have those be readable by both Mac & PC editing software, but transferring anything like logging information between them might be difficult. If you're using Avid software I think that has both a Mac and PC version; otherwise software incompatibility would be a challenge.
