HD Capture in Pinnacle Studio 10 plus--
I am messing around with Studio 10 Plus, which has HDV capture capability. I get a file with an extension of .m2v. But I can't seem to edit that file in PP 1.51 or Vegas 6. The file seems to look pretty good. Is this just m2t with another extension ?

Discussion re Studio 10 from another Thread
I had some discussion about Studio 10 plus in another thread. The discussion is about Liquid, and its relation to Studio 10 and the benefits of Liquid that may also be found in Studio 10 Plus
http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=58588 I am going to continue to work with Studio 10 plus to determine if it is viable as a basic HDV Capture and edit program. Chris Barcellos |

Studio Plus 10 v. PP 1.51 Capture disk usage
Well Okay. I captured 4 minutes of identical HDV footage in both the Pinnacle Studio Plus 10 and with the Cineform intermediate codec on Premiere Pro 1.51. The Pinnacle capture resulted in a total of 780 mgb of files, including the separate sount files. The Premeire capture was 2.7 GB in one .avi file. It looks like the Pinnacle capture is about 1/4 to 30% of the space.
