avchd conversion to youtube.com
At the church I serve they are now videotaping the service. No on can figure out how to convert the avchd to make a DVD that will play in DVD players. This is shot with a consumer camera (Sony HDR J810). I was able to get it into Final Cut Pro 7 via log and transfer but the output was not able to make a dvd that would play on all dvd players. Any help would be great as this is a long time struggle.

Re: avchd conversion to youtube.com
If you have FCP7 you have Compressor and DVD Studio Pro as well. Output a self contained movie from FCP7 at it's sequence res. Drop that file into Apple Compressor, apply a DVD preset (70,90 or 120 minute) then encode.
Take the 2 files from the encode, drop into DVD Studio Pro (add menu if you want) otherwise use Shane Ross's method on Creative Cow Final Cut Pro forum (Google it) to create an instant play DVD with no menu. Build and Burn to a blank DVD from DVD Studio Pro.
