Outputting Short Film to HDCam & Digibeta

Hi folks,

I'm about to output a short film to HDcam and Digibeta for festivals. It was shot RedONE 4k at 25fps.

I plan to just output to: HDCam 1440 x 1080p 25fps and Digibeta 720x576 PAL SD 25fps 16:9.

Now some of the US-based festivals seem to demand 'HDCam NTSC' which I believe is a misnomer as in my understanding ALL HDCam decks will play back all the different frame rates so really it makes no difference if I send them 25fps. Am I right or will they for some reason demand 23.96fps?

Is this the same or not re Digibeta playback? Or for those festivals that require Digibeta NTSC 23.96fps will I therefore be stuck for a playable Exhibition print? I guess I could do an extra Digibeta NTSC tape which I'm sure will look particularly nasty projected on a big screen, especially with the frame-rate conversion!

Be grateful for any ideas.

Thanks,

Baldwin
