Which Compressor is acceptable to you: Apple ProRess
Hi,
I've been converting my H.264 files to apple prores 422 LT. My end product looks fine when it is compressed onto an SD DVD. I am wandering if 422 Proxy will do the trick for SD that would give me the same result as 422 LT on SD DVD? I did a quick look at the quality and I can't tell much of a difference. I will be working with bluray soon and want to see any of you could share your experience with them? Will proress 422 LT still be ok or should I use proress 422 or even 422 HQ? Any comments and experience appreciated. |

LT will look okay. It will be hard to tell the difference, as you have already discovered. I would only recommend HQ for comping and keying work...If you are not transcoding until the final render, LT or the basic 422 should be fine.
