HDV capture w/scene detection?
I know that Premiere Pro CS4 doesn't support scene detection when capturing HDV. (Actually, I can't even get it to batch capture HDV from my Canon HV20.) Does any HDV capture tool offer automatic scene detection? I've been considering buying Neoscene for HDV and AVCHD ingeset, but I haven't found any info on the Web about whether that program offers scene detection. I've read a little about HDVSplit on this forum. Will it play nice with Adobe CS4?
I'm working on a Core i7 PC, 6GB RAM, and Vista 64 SP1. Thanks, Tim |

What about a free utility? HDVSplit is everything PR should have been years ago but still does not. Free, scene detection, no OOS errors, preview during capture. For me, it is the only HDV capture tool, as is Scenalyzer for DV material.

HDVSplit for me to.
Agree totally with Harm. How PP doesn't have this 'feature' yet I just don't understand.
I now use a HVR-MRC1K so I always get separate clips now. Best money I ever spent.
