from camera to computer
I am hoping that this is the correct section to post in, I purchased a Sony Z5P and MacBook Pro 15" last week and have been filming small bits to test out on the MAC, My question is in regard to what cable to use for transferring data from the camera to the macbook, the macbook has the small firewire port while the Z5 has the larger firewire port and was wondering if all I need to purchase is the small firewire cable to the large version? if you have not guessed yet, this is my first time trying to import video from tape to computer.

To help you out:
the cable you are looking for is called a 6 pin to 4 pin Firewire cable.

And to help you familiarize yourself with some video jargon, import or transfer is the term used when copying from card or hard disk to your PC, when ingesting over firewire it is called capturing.
