Cu-vh1us-p Hdv Recorder Player
Does anybody know if the CU-VH1US-P would support in any fashion the new ProHD camera recorded tape? Any format? This baby is currently capable of 720 30P, so would it be usable through a firmware update for the 720 24P?

I asked about this at DV Expo East and was told it is *not* compatible with ProHD.

Chris,
Sorry to bother you so much on this, but as Barry did, I am capable to get in and out 24P material from the unit! The ONLY issue is that it is not showing it on its LCD. I have done it with the 24P footage posted here, so the machine CAN manage it. The only thing I am asking for is to have a real honest explanation form Mr. Freed about the discrepancy between what is being told and the reality. I does not bother me to continue to use it this way. It is just rather inconvenient; but having the simple firmware (and at this point in time after being able to do the in and out, there is no way it can be denied it is just a simple firmware needed), will facilitate the process. Have you ever seen at least once that they have admitted they were wrong and rectify their public opinion? Respectfully, Luis |
