Work flow
Can someone give me a quick synopsis of the workflow using a Z1U, Loaded PC (fast, lotsa hard drive etc.) Vegas, HD Connect to get to DVC Pro. I'm naiive and thought I could shoot, capture, edit and simply output in DVC Pro format.
My original goal was to produce DVD's of concert videos with a multi camera set up and then with the lack of HD content, I thought I could present it to HD broadcasters. I was told it had to Deliver to DVC Pro. Any suggestions? Jeff |

If Vegas supports DVCPro as an output file format, just capture and edit as you would expect for HDV and encode to DVCPro at the end. Converting to DVCPro before editing would arguably be a mistake, since the DVCPro codec has a lower horizontal resolution than Cineform.
