HDV output to monitor Question...
I was considering buying a Canopus ADVC 100 or the 300 which has component out so I could use a broadcast monitor, but what I was wondering is...
If I buy one of the new HDV cams and I am editing in Premiere or Vegas, what would be the best way to get an acurate external view on a monitor(HD monitor) without having to keep my camera plugged in via firewire for the conversion. Do they make a ADVC type device with HD monitor output that you can use that does HD and SD, something similar to an ADVC100 or 300.. Or what is your suggestion, hell, maybe this is a stupid question, but Im not keen on HDV yet. Thanks, Steve |

Try this:
http://www.canopus.com/us/products/EDIUSNX_for_HDV/pt_EDIUSNX_for_HDV_Hardware.asp It's supposed to work with Premiere Pro, at least in terms of the monitoring capabilities. |
