What is the best way to handle the expanding HDV footage?

I have about 1Terabyte on the production machine, and the same on NAS, but hard drive space is running out fast.

What do *you* use for storage of video files (question goes for both production and archiving)?

Check out the new Avid HD codec for mastering. Takes up little more space than sd.
