Weird problem with HD10 and FCP
Usually, when I have my HD10 set up as the VTR, I see the image and hear the sound from the Final Cut Pro project on the HD10. FCP is detecting the HD10, but I'm not getting any video or audio. I also went into the settings and turned "off" and "on" the settings to control the output. Still no luck.
I had no problems the other day, but now this... Anyone? heath

Okay, so I went into a seperate log-in in my G5 and solved the playback problem.
Then another one surfaced. When I hit play, though the firewire cable is okay, as is everything else, I'm getting little video/audio "hits" that's not on the timeline, but visible/audible on the camera. Anyone know what that is? heath

Is the audio track an MP3 other something other than a high quality track? I've had the problem when importing anything other than AIFF or WAV files into FCP.

Heath,
Are you capturing from the camera to a firewire drive? If so, do you have an extra firewire card in your G5? Remember, all the firewire connections on the G5 are on the same port. Frederic |
