how to convert mpeg2 ts to avi (dv or whatever) without recompress, without having to wait years to render, etc?

i know theres a way to the the convert easy and fast.

ive got to edit in uncompressed or dv off line.

Your question isn't very clear .... if you want to convert transport streams to a compressed avi format like DV there is no way you can do it without recompressing using the new codec.

DV is only for SD, and not HD. I'm a believer in editing in the native format - and more options are coming available for HDV.
