Free MPEG StreamClip for converting transport streams to Quicktime
Has anyone tried this on JVCs transport streams?

Paul,
It's an excellent application! Essentially, it allows you to demultiplex m2t file. It's fast, easy to use and very good at what it does. If you have many m2v or m2t files, it will also multiplex them for you. It doesn't encode movs to HDV transport stream to send back to the camera and DVHS deck however so you would still need and encoder like Heuris or Lumiere HD. The other thing Lumiere HD has this doesn't is the xml FCP migration tool which can save some lots of time and headache when importing clips and going online. I think Streamclip is a great addition to our HDV editing workflow. I applaud the developer... Frederic |

Paul,
Thanks for the heads up! > Has anyone tried this on JVCs transport streams? > http://www.alfanet.it/squared5/mpegstreamclip.html I downloaded 'MPEG Steamclip' and tried it. Streamclip works very well, and is a nice addition to DiVA's capabilities!

New Version 'MPEG Streamclip 1.0.1'
MPEG Streamclip users should download the new version 1.0.1 from:
http://www.alfanet.it/squared5/mpegstreamclip.html Version 1.0 will not open large files (e.g. an 8 GB .m2t capture file from one HDV tape).

New version MPEG Streamclip 1.0.2
There is new, newer version!
http://www.alfanet.it/squared5/mpegstreamclip.html MPEG Streamclip 1.0.2 FYI - Lumiere HD still kicks all other HDV for Mac apps butts. Murph
