VEGAS VS. Chroma noise fromHD10
We just finished 2 weeks shooting with the
JY-HD10: Originally thought we would shoot slightly underexposed to protect shadow detail. So we shot some under exposed footage on day 1. However this camera seems to show more chroma noise when we under expose ( approx 1 f stop ). So if you use VEGAS 4 with the HD 10, how are you cleaning up the chroma noise? What VEGAS filters are you using. Ed Hill

Ed Hill -->>> There's a marvellous little plug-in that allows you to utilise VirtualDub filters....n.b. not all of the VirtualDub noise reduction filters work through it though...just load some up and see which work best. Look for the Plug-inPac Adapter on the 'What happens in Vegas' thread on these forums, and then go grab some VirtualDub chroma noise reduction filters...... |
