Simple HDTV editing on the Mac???
Hello,
I am using VirtualDVHS to record from my HD cable box. I put together some AppleScripts to automate the process and combined with iCal, scheduled timeshifting can be done on the Mac. See http://mac_hdtv_timer.home.comcast.net that have been discussed at avsforum.com. So, VirtualDVHS creates .m2t files that might have parts I would like to edit out. I can use HDTV2MPEG on Windows to make simple edits. I am interested in knowing whether such a basic editor solution exists for the Mac. I hope the members here don't mind this question being posted here; but, it seemed to me that the solution might be known here. Thanks, Joe |

Try Diva which can convert from transport stream to Quicktime files, you can then edit the files using Quicktime Pro (or Final Cut if you have it). You can also try HDVerter to go back to transport stream from Quicktime if you need to.
