Device offline, Premiere Pro CS3
I have been unable to successfully capture video let alone control the camera using Premiere Pro CS3. I have tried the Canon GL2, XL2 and the XHA1. The first two worked wonderfull with the Premiere Elements 2.0. My computer recognizes the cameras but the CS3 does not. I spoke with and worked for hours with Adobe, Canon and Dell to no avail. I downloaded a trial of Sony Vegas and it works fine.
Any ideas? Thanks, James Lamprecht |

I'd suspect that at some point in your conversation with Adobe Tech Support the suggestion was made that you uninstall and then reinstall PP. There's a shed load of code that goes into your system when you install PP and some of it probably didn't go in right. Reinstalling is probably the smartest course open to you.

Now, I am sure you thought of this, but you are starting the project in HDV mode, correct? Other wise it won't capture from an HD device. And the same if you are in HDV it won't capture from a SD DV device (I think I never tried that last one)
Make sure you are in the correct settings, For my XH-A1 I use HDV Widescreen 48 and that lets me capture just fine... |
