Capturing SD recorded audio to HD edit
I'm soon to upgrade my FCP to edit in HD. No manuals to check yet so my question is: can Final Cut Suite set up to edit a 24p HD project capture and use audio from SD recorded tapes?
Thanks. Canada John |

You can set up your FCP timelines with whatever audio and video perameters you want. Some SD (Betacam, for example) audio is 32k,12-bit whereas hd is normally 48k, at 16 bit.
So if your timeline is 48k, when you import a different sample rate, FCP will have to render the audio line to match the timeline. No biggie. / Battle Vaughan/miamiherald.com video team |
