30p to 25p, has anyone done it yet?

The only thing that keeps me from buying an HD10 is its incompatibility with PAL television sets. So my question is, has anyone successfully converted 30p to 25p yet (or maybe to 50i?)?

Glenn,

I know this may be a weird question, but it says you live in Jersey. Why do you need a PAL TV-compatible camera? Do you mean you want to shoot PAL to go to 35 mm film?

Who is Dwight? Are you referring to me? Well, anyway, if you are, I am interested in selling an HD10 feature (which would also be sold to the 720p 30fps market) to the PAL market. That's why I ask, thanks.

So i guess it is safe for me to assume that if you shoot with this cam, you can not sell your footage to the PAL market? (not trying to bait an argument here, I just want to see if there is any new info since I last bought up this question.)

Glenn,

No no no, it's not that at all. You can probably convert it to 60i and then go to PAL, but I'm not sure. Do a search here under Twixtor and HDV. Or Magic Bullet and HDV. Heck, call Magic Bullet and ask them if it's possible, then report your findings to us!
