There are lots of cool additions in Aspect HD 1.1 (free to all registered Aspect HD users.)
1. New version of the CFHD codec. a) Enhance quality and smaller files (at the same time.) b) VFW export support so your can create CFHD files from any PC video tool like After Effects and VirtualDub (no more lugging around uncompressed or HUFFYUV clips.) 2. Upgraded capture/convert/export tool -- now called HDLink (was CFCapture.) a) Real-time capture-convert now supported. Capture and convert to CFHD is one step. Fast PCs can do this at around 1:1 speed. Slower PCs will still find this a huge time saver. b) better scene-detection. c) optionally capture without scene-detection. d) support for 480p60 and 1080i transport stream modes. The 480p60 is great for slow motion work within a 720p30 production. 3. Misc. bug fixes and enhancements. The product is always evolving. These enhancements are part of the soon to be released Premiere Pro version of Aspect HD. It isn't necessary to upgrade but I'm sure these enhancements will help your workflow.
