How are people editing sound with Premiere/Aspect?

Seems to be agreed that the HD10u doesn't have the greatest on-board sound. Makes more sense to go with separate sound recording, ie. DAT, etc. So.... questions:

1. how are people capturing/editing sound with HDV?

2. Does the sound sync with HDV video?

3. Can you import sound files into Premiere/Aspect? (sorry, i work in PC land)

thanks

I can answer number 3.

A large range of sounds files can be imported into Premiere/Aspect HD. i.e. AIFF, WAV, MP3, etc.
