What way to Archive/Content manage HD ?
We have a couple of P2 and EX1 cameras, and we were wondering , what's the best way to archive the raw footage from both formats collectively, as well as the final video where we would want to keep it in its in native codecs for future format conversions ? Assuming we seldom revisit them and would not want data corruption.
Should we output them as data files onto DLT / LTO tapes ? or keep them in storage drives ? or dive into something expensive like a SONY HDXchange system ? I'm working in the education field and we have never wanted to archive student's work until we feel that they should be able to, when we go HD tapeless. Thank you for the replies.

Wesley, do a search on this forum for your topic. It's been discussed ad nauseum and in the end you just have to figure out what works best for you given your work flow and budget.
