Canon HDV from Sony Z1U Playback
Are there any issues I might expect by using a Sony Z1U as a source deck for footage shot with a Canon H1 or G1 at 1080i with no pseudo progressive settings?

Sony and Canon's head alignments are slightly different from one another, Sometimes it picks up drop-outs that weren't originally on the tape due to a different head position. I've tried to play old DV footage from Canon cameras on a Sony and sometimes you do get dropouts where there weren't any on the Canon.

Thanks Jack... good to know. Hopefully the dropout issue won't bite me. At least it sounds as though there is not a compatibility issue.
