FCP Project to FCE Machine
Okay, I'm using Final Cut Pro at work but I would like to do some editing at home on Final Cut Express. The Project is contained on two exteriro HD's so I can move between machines no problem.
Are there any issues with opening a FCP Project on FCE 4.0 that will hurt my project, and vice versa? -Chris |

No can do...
The word on the street is that as of FCE 3.5, no version of FCE can open a FCP project. Similarly, an earlier version of FCP could not open a more current FCP project. However, FCP can supposedly open a project that was created in either FCE or an earlier version of FCP.
This information is all from my internet searches though. My only firsthand experience with this is a failed attempt to open a FCP project with FCE 3.5. Alec Moreno http://www.1Day1ShotProductions.com |
