Convert Negative to Positive - Live Capture
I am capturing NEGATIVE 8mm film from a special projector, through my Canon A1, to the computer. I am using Adobe OnLocation fed from firewire on the camera to monitor and capture the video stream. I can then invert the video in Premiere Pro so I get a positive image for editing and final output.
OnLocation has vectorscopes and other tools that allow me to adjust the color and brightness of the video as I capture. The problem I am having is that the image is still negative, so it is hard to make acurate adjustments. So my question: Is there a card or program that will allow me to convert the live video stream from negative to positive? (Blackmagic Intensity, Kona, etc). Or is there another solution (preset or hack for A1 that will invert colors, etc). Thanks. |
