Converting 60fps to 29 or 23 not working

I've done this before and it worked perfectly. I'm using the DVCPRO HD Frame Rate Converter on FCP. Trying to convert a clip that's 59.94 and make it a slo-motion clip to a 23.98.

I go through creating a new project because of a known FCP bug. I then transfer the file I want to that new project and try converting there. But all I get is an error:

An error occurred during processing, unable to conform source media
(0717CW) **Name of the clip**

and after this nothing happens.

Working with P2 footage, MAC OSX 10.4.11, FCP 5.1 and 6.0.2, G5

Thanks for the help
