HDV Mac compatibility questions

a few questions to expand on the 'regular mac pro :

2.66GHz - Two Dual Core Xeon Woodcrest processors
1GB Ram - 667Mhz DDR2
250GB 7200rpm SATA hard drive
16x Dual Layer SuperDrive
Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger
$2499

1. will a 500 gig sata 7200 Western Digital drive work in a Mac?
2. Would I notice a difference between 2.0 ghz and 2.66 ghz processors?
3. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1190676637815 Will the monitor work fine with it?
4. 2 GB PC5300 DDR2/667 desktop ram - is that good ?
