WHICH CPU for HDV performance?

HI all,

I'm upgrading and wondering if a faster dual core is more advantages than a slower quad core CPU?. ie a 3Ghz Core2duo is around same price as a 2.4Ghz quad core.

I already have a 2.4 Core2duo - will I see a big difference......?

Depends on your NLE software. For example in PPro 2.0, the Dual 3.0Ghz would probably be better, but in CS3 the Quad 2.4 will be better because they improved the multithreaded renderer.
