HDV captured on Mac, Problems
Firstly, apologies for the rather newbie question.
I have been capturing HDV footage shot on a Sony Z1 (1080i50) through FCP, it is captured using HDV 1080i50 compression. I have been capturing whole tapes, then creating subclips and media managing so I am left with seperate files for each of the subclips. Two seperate editors both working on PCs have had issues playing these files back, can anyone tell me why this might be? Also, once the clips have been media managed when I look at them in the finder some say they are quicktime movie files while others say they are FCP Movie Files, any idea why these have been exported differently when the settings have remained the same? Further to this, is there a better format/codec/capture device compilation that would better serve me so that everything I capture won't have this issue in future? Thank you for any help anyone an offer. Last edited by Marcus Petre; September 14th, 2007 at 10:10 AM. Reason: Added further Question |
