FT multimedia job - video/mograph/photog
Hi all -
I am hiring a FT Multimedia Professional for a Texas based company and wanted to see if anyone could point me in the direction of a job forum/bank etc where I could post it to target more specifically than just throwing it on Indeed and getting the whole gamut of candidate (e.g people who have made some slideshows or have taken pictures for friends) . I know there are websites that specialize in these things (church jobs or HR jobs) but wasn't sure if there was something similar to that for editing/media and what not. I'm not trying to spam the forum, as it looks like most of these listings are for freelance things. But this is a FT job, at a great company with competitive wage and benefits. It WOULD require re-lo. If someone here' is interested, feel free to DM me for more details. If not, pointing me in the direction of a central job bank would be most helpful. Thanks! |

Hi Steve.
I hardly consider a full time job offer "spam"! Both our Lord Emperor Chris Hurd and one of his Knights at Arms Greg Boston are Texans who might know a perfect candidate for you if the forum search doesn't turn up one. Good luck and good (head)hunting!

Re: FT multimedia job - video/mograph/photog
Steve,
I agree with Shaun but I'm also including some websites that I think are still around and might be helpful. Mandy's Film and TV Production Directory ProductionHUB.com Video Production Services | Crews Control Media Watch | Improving the image of gender and race in the media Now I will say that I have never used these sites but I have looked at them once in a while over the years so I can't speak to their real usefulness but I guess it won't hurt to take a look at them and see if they might help you out. Hell, if I was 30 years younger and didn't have to relocate I might consider the job myself. ;-) Good luck.

Re: FT multimedia job - video/mograph/photog
Thanks Shaun and Don!
I just meant spam in that it looks like most of the posts here are for second shooters, smaller one-offs, etc - I didn't know if people ever posted permanent positions on here. To be clear, it's not a production house or something that specializes in production. It's a large company (if you're in Texas or surrounding states, you HAVE heard of it :)) that has an opening in the communications department for a MM pro (photog, videog/editor, mograph). Thanks for the links, Don! I'll check them out! |

Need an Audio "Mechanic" ...
Long story short the lavalier was improperly attached on the Speaker and now have various unwanted sounds ... mostly what seems to be fabric rub .
Reaching out to someone in our DVinfo community who's a decent Audio Mechanic and might be able to clean up some of my audio mess ? This would be a paid gig. Here's one of the static sounds i've isolated : please contact me email or phone for details, thanks ! flowingcamera at gmail dot com 4806781175

Re: Need an Audio "Mechanic" ...
If the unwanted noise crashes the dialogue there's not a lot you can do to make it any more intelligible.
Having said that, spectral repair is possible if the frequencies can be isolated: But sounds to me like the fabric rub shares frequencies with the dialogue.

2nd/3rd shooter in Austria and Zambia
Two different projects...I'm trying to find some leads on 2nd or 3rd shooters to join a US crew in Munich, Germany, traveling on to the Oetzal Valley of Austria in September and then another crew for Zambia in November. I'd appreciate any recommendations for a semi-local DP and a sound person for each location. The shoots will involve some whitewater and water based camera work, but is probably not super adventure life threatening kinds of setups. Except for the crocs and the hippos...!

Do you still need it fixed?
I can't promise anything but I'm willing to try to make it sound acceptable. |
