Re: Video equipment hire - Israel

Contact my good friend Nir at East 77 visual communications. He is a Producer, Director, and DP. Does projects all over the world. I don't believe he's in the rental biz, but you should be able to get some information for local resources from him.

Need shooter in Pleasanton, CA area mid-Feb

Details are being worked out by my client as to exact location and date/time but basically want someone to shoot an interview and simple product demo. Full HD 1080 30p, prefer camcorder over DSLR. (I use an XF300) Wireless lav, basic lighting. Probably no more than two hours total (I've done similar for them locally in an hour) plus setup/teardown.
Please send info/reel/rates as soon as possible.
Thanks!
Rob

Re: Need shooter in Pleasanton, CA area mid-Feb

Hey all.
Thanks for the responses. The client has pushed this shoot back a couple of months so the rush is not there. If you want, please email your info to me for my files. When the shoot happens we'll see who is available.
Thanks again!

Corporate Training Videographer (Santa Monica, CA)

My client (a Very Large Company) is doing a training in Santa Monica, CA on Tues 3/12 - Wed 3/13. I need a "back-of-the-room" video shot of the entire day, broken down into individual 720P Quicktime files. The audio might be available from a sound board, but if not, you'd need to put a shotgun at the front of the room to capture the audio. Most of the presentations will be people either at a podium or wandering in front of the room. The training room will be small-ish (maybe 50 people or so). No need for b-roll or multiple cameras. Please contact me with any questions. This is for professionals with their own camera gear and proficiency with video editing. Final files will need to be on a disk headed to me within 48 hours of the completion of the gig. Thank you!
Rate is $900/day for two days, including edits.

MAY need a non-dSLR shooter in Ottawa, Ontario for one day shoot early March

Hey Ottawa colleagues!

A client of mine in the health care area is looking to have a number
of short video pieces (1-2 minute clips, same location, same
participant, shot over a couple of hours ON LOCATION) shot in Ottawa
with a time schedule of the next couple of weeks.

I have offered to post this request for services here as we are unsure
if the budget can support me traveling to Ottawa for this piece.

You would be provided with interview questions aimed at deriving
semi-scripted responses from the participant on location.

You would be responsible for getting camera-shot media to the client
(ALL footage - not compressed).

Sync sound and long form recording is required so NO dSLR shooting on this one.

I would suggest Sony EX1/EX3 or FS100/700 or similar to cut against
what already exists.

Professional shooters only. No recent film grads.

As well, you would be required to relinquish all Intellectual Property
rights to the footage and would not be able to use the material in
your own promotions. Keep this in mind when you quote.

The subject matter involves First Nations material, specifically
around colonization and other sensitive/emotional subjects so
sensitivity of the parties involved is paramount. As well, you should
be aware that this material CAN cause an emotional response in
yourself as well. You MUST have a superior level of comfort going
into this proposal with that.

The exact dates are yet to be determined.

CAVEAT EMPTOR:
I have also submitted a quotation for this service that would see me
flying in if selected. My quote has already been submitted to the
client - rest assured, your quote is not being used to substantiate
mine.

I would suggest that with pre-planning, shooting on the day and
packaging up material for shipping that a full day rate is probably
appropriate but use your own judgement.

GEAR:
As mentioned earlier, an HD camcorder with sync sound (1080P - frame
rate to be discussed)
Location lighting - battery powered preferred Prepare for 2 - 3 point
lighting, daylight balanced.
Wireless lavalier (high quality - Sennheiser, Sony, Lectro) and/or
overhead boom mic (shotgun)
Tripod

Proper focus, exposure, white balance, composition and SUPERIOR audio
are all expected. No audio dropouts or wireless noise will be
accepted.

Email me at
roaddogmedia (at) gmail.com

and I can put you in touch with my client.

Shaun
