Believe it or not... "Blue" camera, 2K, FF, DNG

See BLUE

Of course, it's only a concept at this stage...

As always, in 90 procent of the indie-community, price will determine if this will be a succes or not, and if it offers what users want.

I do think that their name (BLUE) is weak, and an un-imaginitive streak to RED.
I think it would be better if they would choose their own name, with the own vision. I also think there doesn't seem to be a very clear vision in what they want to do, but that could me more my view then an objective one.

But I applaud everyone's effort to do these kinds of things, of course, and I'll be happy to follow it up.

Who are they and is there any chance whatsoever they can pull it off?
Anyone can make a website and make some claims or suggestions, doesn't mean much. Problem is I'd say that as they don't even seem to have decided what they're going to do and are taking suggestions you're looking at probably 2 years before even getting beta units out there, and so much can change in 2 years. We could have cameras impanted in our eyes capable of 8k by then, who knows! The advice has come before, "buy what you need now and go and shoot"!

Dear Chris Hurd,

Would you please create a new sub-forum for my new camera system Mauve. Did I mention it's better then everything that's ever been thought of?

Hi Josh,

I'm afraid Mauve will have to wait in line. Taupe, Fuchsia and Periwinkle are all ahead of you.
