I consider buying EX1 for my business (mostly weddings); I'd like to make money with this camera but where to begin; any advise where to look for work/assignments? agents, studios etc.

If you have a local PVA (Professional Videographers Association) in your area, contact/join them. Lots of referrals are passed internally. Otherwise, call local professionals in your area and see if they need help. Offer a cut-rate or freebie 2nd cam for the first shoot to get your foot in the door.
