RED Texas regional user group meeting August 6th at DVinfo.net

Omega will be hosting a RED regional user group meeting the evening of Thursday, August 6th following the Texas Association of Broadcasters trade show here in Austin!

This will be open to RED users from surrounding states, and at this time, we expect to have a Weapon camera at the event. By scheduling this on the same day as the largest regional industry trade show, I'm hoping to give folks plenty of reason to drive over to Austin and participate.

We'll have more information on specifics soon - but if you know you want to attend, please get in contact with me as soon as possible so I can be preparing as necessary based on potential attendee numbers.

Also of note as I post this, next Tuesday, June 30th, is the deadline to have any Mysterium cameras PHYSICALLY at RED to be eligible for the Dragon upgrade. I have some insight into the bottom line cost of going from Mysterium to Weapon that will ease many people's anxiety about this deadline. If you are a Mysterium owner and are feeling pressured, contact me and I think I can put your fears to rest.

Our RED User Group meeting is tomorrow - Thursday, August 6th - at 7 PM here at Omega.

We've intentionally scheduled this on the same day as the Texas Association of Broadcasters' trade show so that people will have plenty of reason to travel to Austin for the day.

Come and see the trade show - all the major manufacturers in the video/broadcast industry will be there. And then come visit our RED user group meeting after the show floor closes!

We will have Panasonic's new 4K+ DLP laser projector prototype (shipping in November). RED will be present. We will have several industry professionals giving presentations from the DP, colorist, and DIT perspectives.

See you tomorrow night (unless I see you first at the TAB trade show at the Omega booth)!
