Motorize your IGUS Slider with the new IGUS Slider Kit
ServoCity now offers a simple way to motorize your IGUS W1080 slider. The kit is designed using the versatile line of Actobotics components so that once built, you can easily modify or add other components to create a custom system. The included motor mount is compatible with their 3-12V gearmotors and 6-12V precision gearmotors (motor sold separately). You can also use steppers motors if you purchase a stepper motor mount. Optional adjustable feet and limit switches are also available. See videos below for assembly instruction. IGUS slider, motor, and motor controller not included.
IGUS W1080-B Slider Kit Assembly of the slider kit can be done with minimal tools (Phillips screwdriver, 3/32” allen driver, 7/64” allen driver, and a 5/32” allen driver). Please check out the assembly tutorial videos part 1 and part 2. This kit is designed for use with the Igus W1080-B (1 meter) long slider. To make this kit compatible with longer IGUS Sliders, you can purchase a custom length of XL timing belt. You can also make this kit compatible with a NEMA 23 stepper motor (like pictured in the attached file).
You will need the following items in addition to the Igus Slider kit (sold separately): (4) 6-32 x 3/8” round standoffs (1) NEMA 23 Motor Mount (1) 1/4” to 1/4” Set Screw Shaft Coupler |
