NAB Sponsors
Are any of the sponsors posting VIP numbers for NAB registration?
Might be helpful for those who want to attend the exhibits this year. |

Nab 2008
Hi Mark,
I just came across your note. How are ya? I was thinking about attending NAB if I can get away from FL for a little while. I was curious if there was a way to get 2 complimentary passes from perhaps a sponsor or someone willing to help me get into the event. I have a great JVC camera I love using (how's that for a plug?!) Anyway, I'll have to keep watching this post and see how it goes. Hope all is well with you. Best, Lisa |

I got mine thanks to ikan. You have to call--none of this anonymous clicking stuff. ;) But it's worth it 'cause they're tops.

Lisa, If you want to go, go to www.nabshow.com and register for an exhibits pass. It's free and you can walk the entire floor. If you need a vip number email me and I'll get you one.

Nab
Hi Mark,
Thanks for the help. I went to the site and further into the regristration it does require a vip number for exhibits. I can't say 100% that I can go but going to try. For the registration, do they mail out credentials or something? If so, wondering if I should get them sent just in case everything works out for me to attend. Fill me in on how it works when you get time. Thanks a bunch, Lisa |

Just to clarify what is meant by "free exhibits pass" -- if you just register with NAB you'll find that they're charging something like $100 for the exhibits pass. However you can plug in a promotional VIP code and have that fee waived.
The way you get the promo code is to Google the terms "free NAB pass" and you'll find plenty of them. For instance here's one from Canon Broadcast: http://www.usa.canon.com/html/indust...how_2008.shtml There are plenty of VIP pass codes to be found on the web... nobody should ever have to pay to get in. In fact, I don't think I've ever heard of anybody actually paying just to get to the show floor. The VIP pass code is your ticket through the door. If you register early enough, they'll mail your expo badge and other info out to you, or you can just pick it up on site when you get there. |

Lisa, I believe the deadline has passed for them to mail credentials to you. No worries, if you register like Chris said, you can pick them up there on site.

The NAB site says March 15 is the deadline to get stuff mailed.
