Newsedit?
I'm using newsedit at work. It's from T/GV.
I'm just wondering if anybody else out there is using it, and how similar it might be to Edius? |

They are not alike.
Edius is more of a craft editor and has a much deeper interface. Now, please do not misunderstand me, Newsedit is a good program, but ther a fairly different. Mike

Trust me. I realize the shortcomings of Newsedit. ;)
I was just wondering if similar to Avid it's a "know one system, be able to use them all" kind of thing. |

It pretty much is... just different keystrokes to get used to.
I think you would pick it pretty quick once you got into it :) Mike

NewsEdit and Edius are wholly and completely different.
Knowing NewsEdit will not help you one iota in uderstanding Edius (nor visa versa) ... about th eonly thing that is the same is the shortcut for In and Out point. |
