HDV Sony not seen by edius 9
Have tried to capture video from my HDV Sony Camcorder but edius 9 will not allow capture. Tried various settings and going insane. Old Edius 5 no problem. What is going on?
Thank you for any help you can offer. Running Windows 7 with great success but not with mini DV OR HDV CAPTURE. HAD TO RESORT TO cheaper consumer software. |

Re: HDV Sony not seen by edius 9
What settings are you using on capture?
Have you checked the following? Using Generic HDV Input --> Canopus HQ 1920x1080/59.94i does not work....but using Generic HDV Input --> Canopus HQ 1440x1080/59.94i does. When trying to capture it as MPEG-TS...1920x1080 does not work but 1440x1080 does. Chris Young |

Re: HDV Sony not seen by edius 9
Two possible issues:
As noted above Edius 9 must have a preset that matched the source; 1440x1080i - 59.94 for NTSC HDV via firewire. (A screen shot of mine is attached) If capturing via firewire'IEEE1394 you typically have to use the so called "1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller (Legacy)" driver, which is shipped with Win7 but is not installed by default.
