audio distortion on the Edius timeline
This must have been raised before but the 'search' facility is down at the mo. I add undistorted music to my Edius 6 timeline and it then sounds pretty dire, with obvious distortion. The levels meter shows all's fine, and DVDs and BD made using print to disc are fine - it's just the timeline that distorts things. Annoying, but not the end of the world.

Re: audio distortion on the Edius timeline
Tom, are you importing MP3 or 44k sound files? They are known to be problematic with Edius. 48khz sound files are no problem. I use a program called dbpoweramp to convert before I import into my NLE. You might want to see if you get the same distortion using 48khz music files.

Re: audio distortion on the Edius timeline
Now there's a thought - thanks Mark. I'll go and check. My Audacity will convert MP3s to wav.

Yes, Edius does weird thing with some mp3's, I also always convert every external mp3 sound or music file into wav and that works without a problem.
