Looking for a TV that can be used for HDMI preview of SD stream
Hi all,
I have one of my colleagues who is trying to find a TV that can be used for HDMI preview of SD stream from Grass Valley HD Storm card. He currently use a 26" LG that works fine with the HD timeline but not the SD timeline. A Samsung unit would not show SD either. He borrowed a Sony unit and that worked well but at 32" is too big for my work area. Has anybody had luck with other brands? |

And why not take it out for component video YPbPr would be more logical for an SD project.
HDMI is more benefit to high-definition signals. It's about the characteristics and setup of LCD TVs ... there are some that detects the signal HD/SD by HDMI automatically and others who need to be done manually, but in almost all brands have that property. |

This is a serious problem that many have faced as the SD to HD conversion may never be complete worldwide.
There's an entire thread dedicated to this issue here... Compatible HDMI Monitors for HDStorm/HDSpark - Grass Valley Desktop Solutions Forums Kind of long, but worth reading. |
