SD to HD DivX in Canopus Procoder 2
Hi,
Greetings from Serbia ! I want to compress SD video (captured from miniDV) to HD DivX format (1280x720 @ 3000kbs) in Procoder 2. Would I be able to play it on stand-alone DVD-DivX players, and watch it on SD or HD TV ? Should I deinterlace it or not. Will I see interlacing on 100Hz Tv, like I can see it on my computer monitor ? Thanks ! Marko. |

Marko: there's little point in upsampling SD material to HD resolution for display purposes, since you can't create detail which isn't present in the source material. De-interlacing is potentially more useful, but that depends on whether you're going to play the video on a progressive-scan display or a standard interlaced TV.
