Portable Edius system for Same Day Edits?
I am a MAC FCP editor looking to buy a PC based Edius editing solution for producing same day edits at weddings. What are the basics that I need in terms of software and hardware?

It depends
What camera are you using?
SD or HD? Tape based or flash memory? |

You can do it with a laptop, but I built my own small portable box which can accomidate the Firecoder card. I'd grab this barebone mini system Newegg.com - Shuttle SX58H7 Intel X58 4 x 240Pin Barebone - Barebone Systems Then add in the i7 920 ram and hdd and you're rolling. |
