I have shot lots of very fast motion using the 480p60 mode on a JVC HD10, and it simply out performs any DV cam I have done similar shots with. Although i wouldn't recommend that cam due to its high degree of difficulty, the newer HD100/110 offer this same mode in a much better cam. The HVX200 has a 720p60 mode but its storage system would make it impracticable for long acquisition. And if the money is there, the HD200 has a 720p60 mode.
