Combining HDV footage with 35mm

I am beginning my research on combining HDV footage with 35mm film. Let me use the example of an EPK, which has interviews shot with the Sony HVR-Z1U; 1080/60i. The footage is edited with film, a 2.40 aspect ratio at a 2k resolution. Final output would be a filmed out at 24 frames with a 2.40 aspect ratio. What considerations would you make for breaking out the HDV into 24 frames and reframing for the film’s aspect ratio? Would you lose a significant amount of quality in the up-rez since HDV only use 1440x1080 (yet interlacing gives you full HD; confused)?

This scenario may not seem ideal, yet if you had to do it and the budget existed; then how would go about it. Please give me some tips and tricks to refine my search.
