Kinor 4K camera....
This came somewhat out of left field (to me at least...):
http://www.kinor.ru/products/camera/dc4k/ 2.35, 250fps, PL mount, onboard flash... interesting. Also a 2k version: http://www.kinor.ru/products/camera/dc2k/

Yeh this was shown at NAB a few years ago, big hubbub and all...then nothing. Not for sale, the guy who made it seems to have dropped out of existance.

Are you sure you're not thinking of Kinetta and Rainer Fritz? This thing claims to be for rent in Russia...

Looks like a new name... the link to the Russian company I've seen before... wonder how much it rents just for fun... would be interesting to know how much if you could buy it... something to compare too....

I think alot of these people think they put a PL mount on a box with a big CMOS sensor in it and bam overnight riches but they dont market it at all so it never catches on and they die out.

I believe that the company made 35mm and 16mm cameras in Russia for years. Hearing from a few people, kinda of the best way to explain it they were kinda of like the dvx's of the film world years ago.
A cheaper camera for dp's, etc. to own. |
